Facilitee has created the most user-friendly and advanced service desk software for real estate in the world. We aim to unite all relevant stakeholders in the real estate domain being owners, asset managers, operators, service providers and tenants. From our amazing office in Amsterdam we work hard on growing this business. Due to increasing demand we are looking for a Tech Team Lead to support and facilitate our growth.
The Role
We are looking for someone who can motivate and inspire the team and leads them to higher performance and excellence. In this role you will work together with our highly experienced CTO and a team of 5 developers (front and backend), with a focus on backend. This role will replace the existing lead developer in the short term.
You will be responsible for
- Ensuring the performance of our product
- Building out a motivated team
- Setting and controlling the technical roadmap
What you will be doing
- Lead a team of 5 developers
- Collaborate with the Product Manager to ensure business success of the product (for example through roadmap planning, improving quality, proposing & implementing usability improvements)
- Directly contribute to the product in backend, frontend or infrastructure code
- Drive to continuously improve the product in functionality, scalability, and usability.
- Independently realize new functionalities within the product and the APIs that we make available.
- Perform code reviews for your colleagues and learn from code review feedback given by others
- Care about the technical state of your product, propose and implement technical improvement
- Team lead responsibilities – hiring, monitoring, feedback
- Support the individuals in the team to grow their abilities
You will be a great fit if you bring the below to the team
- 5+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Developer with a focus on SaaS back-end and front-end development
- 5+ years of experience in Python, Typescript
- You have several years of recent experience with Django and React
- You have experience with Docker and Git
- You have experience with public cloud services such as Amazon Web Services or comparable.
- You have experience in leading a small team
- Hands on – you enjoy coding as well as leading your team
- You take a proactive approach and understand why communication is key
- You are a coach
- Good interpersonal skills, a team player and able to work together working with an international team
- You are fluent in English (must) and can express yourself well in Dutch (pre)
- You are a problem-solver and are data-driven, you have the ability to generate ideas to refine and translate into concrete actions
